When I then set WindowChrome.IsHitTestVisibleInChrome to True on my 3 buttons, I can no longer resize the window around them. This brings the problem of being unable to resize the CaptionHeight along with the rest of the title bar (in the case that the menu does not fit and the items wrap, increasing the height of the title bar). The most acceptable answer is setting WindowChrome.WindowChrome on my MainWindow.Īlready there's a problem - CaptionHeight seems to be a completely arbitrary number setting it to the same value as my custom title bar's height just does not produce the same hitbox. I'm struggling way too much trying to find a solution that doesn't have some weird quirks. The 3 buttons for minimizing, maximizing/restoring, and exiting should work as expected What I ultimately want to achieve is basically a clone of Visual Studio's title bar Īn optional "title" (the project name when one is open),

I've been fidgeting with this topic for the past few days on and off and simply can't get anywhere that satisfies what I'm looking for.
